I have chosen to make this asset to challenge myself into creating a high quality environment asset with low budget costs and setting a time limit of no more than five hours in total.
Graffit Splat is a 2D fighting game in which you battle your opponent to hit as much paint as you can out of them. The player who has spilled the most paint of his opponent after sixty seconds has won the game.
These are procedural feathers, which means that they are randomly generated and controlled by adjustable settings.
The feather generator can be used to create a lot of different: alpha maps, coloring styles and feather shapes.
I made this in Substance Designer 4.
This creature was made in 30-45 min of sculpting in ZBrush.
Roughly the same time compositing in Photoshop.
